Karyn is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and is licensed by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.In 2001, she graduated from the three year Massage Therapy program at Algonquin College.She continues to run the Kneaded Touch Massage Therapy Clinic.
Karyn has taken further training in myofascial release techniques, hot stone massage, manual lymph drainage techniques, as well as pre-, peri- and postnatal massage.She has done specific work with pregnant moms in labour to help relieve pain and discomfort.She also specializes in the use of massage to help manage fibromyalgia, alleviate headaches and encourage recovery from injury.

Andrew Chapman RMT - has blue cross
Andrew has been a registered massage therapist since 2000. Since then he has been help family’s in the Ottawa area relax, relieve stress and pain, and live a healthier life. With the use of tradition therapeutic and relaxation massage based on the swedish massage principles and other techniques he has been working on developing over the last 5 years. Andrew’s focus has been on putting together specific treatments for each individual that helps their body relax to speed up the healing process.
Andrew has further training in Tibetan Acupressure, Hot Stone, Lymphatic Drainage, Rotator Cuff & Scapular Stretch, Atlas & Axis Disfunction to name a few. He enjoys working with a range of clientele from relaxation to sciatic pain, from tendonitis to headache release and anything in between including pre and post natal massages.
With many years in the practice of massage therapy Andrew has developed a keen sense of touch and intuition that helps him find the issues and a wide range of techniques to help decrease the tension and relieve the pain and discomfort associated with it. After you leave your appointment you may also receive information on stretches, exercises and how to improve your posture at home, work and while you sleep. Proper sleeping posture is very important for the health of your body.

Christine Turcotte RMT - has blue cross
Christine comes to Kneaded Touch Massage Therapy Clinic having graduated with honours from the Massage Therapy Program at AlgonquinCollege in 2009. She is a Registered Massage Therapist and is a member of both the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and the Ontario Massage Therapist Association (OMTA). Christine has experience in pregnancy massage, infant massage, deep tissue treatments, specific scar treatments, and treatments pertaining to clients with special needs. She is also certified in CPR and First Aid.
Christine focuses on providing each client with the opportunity to meet his or her individual treatment goals. Her primary goal is to ensure her clients attain relaxation and pain alleviation through massage therapy. Christine also has experience in treating musculoskeletal injuries, tension headaches, TMJ disorders, and lymphatic drainage issues. Christine incorporates a variety of techniques into the treatments including neuromuscular techniques, myofascial release techniques, trigger point therapy, lymphatic drainage, sustained stretches, hot stone massage and hydrotherapy. She also provides her clients with homecare which assists in their overall well-being.
Christine enjoys playing hockey and participating in many outdoor activities. She is very family oriented, and enjoys visiting her brother in PEI. During her spare time, she also enjoys painting, swimming and going for walks with her dog. Christine believes that massage therapy can be beneficial for people of all ages and she encourages her clients to participate in a unique treatment plan to fit their personal needs.
Joanna Kent RMT
Joanna graduated from the Algonquin Massage Therapy Program in 2001. A mother of two, she has also earned a degree from Carleton in Law, Policy and Government. She is excited to be applying her legal knowledge to the various Massage Therapy regulations and Health Profession Acts in order to improve their clarity and scope for massage therapists and the public.
Joanna is trained in Reflexology and Manual Lymphatic Drainage. Joanna also has a strong interest in the benefits of massage therapy for those dealing with dementia and the anxiety component associated with these conditions. Being a mom, she also practiced pregnancy and infant massage.
Joanna trains with the Masters Swim Club of Kanata and competes in several swim competitions throughout the season. Although born in Ottawa, her family is from Nova Scotia and she continues to have strong ties to the Maritimes, returning every year to the family cottage. Joanna also enjoys drawing, painting and writing. This includes articles for Massage Therapy, as well as, short story fiction.
Joanna believes that massage therapy is an integral part of anyone's goal to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Brian Derby B.A. RMT- has blue cross Brian Derby is a former Nationally Ranked Long Jumper who competed for Canada in 1992. After his B.A. from QueensUniversity and traveling across Australia, Brian completed the Massage Therapy program at AlgonquinCollege and earned his licence in 2001.
Since being an R.M.T., Brian has taught the General Massage Course at AlgonquinCollege and has done clinic supervision and orthopedic assessment through Kine Concept. He has earned certificates in Reiki level 1, Lympatic therapy, reflexology, acupuncture level 1 IET level 1, EFT level 1 and orthobionomy.
Adding to Brian’s expertise in sports therapy and deep tissue massage, he has opened himself to four new skills linked to his passion for Energy Medicine.
Brian uses I.E.T (Integrative Energy Technique) and E.F.T (Emotional Freedom Technique) and Reiki to help his clients overcome specific barriers in their lives. It is a perfect adjunct to Massage Therapy, and offers another tool for assisting his clients to achieve the best results for their physical health.

Abby Allen RMT
Abby has joined Kneaded Touch Massage Therapy. She graduated from AlgonquinCollege, with an Advanced Diploma in the three-year Massage Therapy program in 2009. She is a registered massage therapist, and is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and the Ontario Massage Therapists Association (OMTA). She has experience in working with pregnant mothers, newborns, the elderly, surgical scars, and clients with special needs. She is also certified in First Aid and CPR.
Before each treatment, Abby likes to briefly talk to her clients, in order to understand the clients’ needs and goals and design a treatment plan specific to each client. She will also perform a few assessments of the client’s problem areas, to better understand how she can help treat the impairments and track progress that they have made. Her main focus during each treatment is to make sure her clients are comfortable and understand everything that she is and will be doing. She has treated clients with headaches, TMJ problems, anxiety/stress, and neuromuscular issues. Abby uses a variety of techniques including; neuromuscular, superficial reflex, superficial fluid, trigger point therapy, stretches, and hydrotherapy. She also gives each client specific homecare, that can incorporate stretches, remedial exercises, and hydrotherapy; which assists in recovery of injuries and improvement in activities of daily living.
Abby also enjoys working at her other job as a lifeguard and swimming instructor, where she gets to work with a variety of different people, including children. In her spare time, Abby also likes: swimming, taking care of her Guinea pigs, watching movies, and hanging out with friends. She believes that massage therapy can help anyone (in some way) improve their quality of life.
Marlaina LeBlanc RMT
Marlaina has been a registered Massage Therapist since 2008, graduating from the Algonquin College massage therapy program. She enjoys the hands-on work of massage and the benefits it produces in the body. She does Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, stretching techniques, deep tissue work and hydrotherapy. She has had some experience working with clients suffering from neck pain and headaches, and celebrates improvements in these areas as well as a sense of full body health and wellness.
