Carly McCooeye RMT

Carly is a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, and recent graduate from the three year Massage Therapy program at Algonquin  College. Carly is a firm believer in therapeutic touch. She feels that massage therapy can encourage her clients to become more in tune of their bodies’ health and needs. Carly has experience with pregnancy massage, infant massage, specific scar treatments, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and treating clients with special needs. Carly is certified in CPR and First Aid by St. Johns Ambulance.

Carly focuses on providing a unique experience for her clients. This is done by providing full interviewing, thorough assessments, and working with the client to establish goals and create flexible and tangible treatment plans. Carly has experience with many different conditions and can create individual plans to suit each client. Promoting relaxation and relief of pain is an important goal in each and every treatment plan. Carly can help this happen through various massage techniques such as lymphatic drainage, neuromuscular techniques, trigger point therapy, various stretching techniques and hydrotherapy modalities. In the future, Carly hopes to take more massage related courses to be able to help even more clients in new ways.

In her spare time Carly enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and spending time at the cottage with her friends and family. She enjoys traveling and visiting new places when she can. Carly also enjoys learning new things and is currently looking to improve her cooking and baking skills.

Toni Lanouette RMT / Doula

Toni was born and raised in Ottawa. She graduated from the International Academy of Massage in 2001 with Honors. She was successfully self employed as a Massage Therapist in the Wesboro Holistic Center for 5 years. With a full practice she had to make a choice between family and career as the clinic closed its doors for good in 2005. So she moved her practice home for the past 4 years and her very loyal clients followed her all the way to Kanata where she continues to work part time. Now with a young family she is seeking balance at being back to work more regularly. And is looking forward to this fresh start and clinic time back in Westboro with us here at Kneaded Touch.

Toni has many interests but her most recent is becoming a Doula and supporting families in Labour. She also has training in Thermal Palms massage (a soft alternative to hot stone massage), Lymphatic Drainage and Reflexology, Scapular Stretch and Rotator Cuff Release, pregnancy massage. She has excellent skills with neck relief and release as it has been a personal trouble spot for her. As well as low back release with treatment to the psoas muscle, also known as the forgotten muscle.

She is still looking forward in taking many more courses like Craniosacral Therapy, especially for pediatrics as it helped her son with breastfeeding in the early days of his life.

Toni is excited to meet new clients and is ready to see the old ones return. Her Massage Therapy approach is in treating her client as a whole person... Mind , Body, Spirit.

Stephanie Bergeron RMT

Stephanie graduated from the Algonquin College Massage Therapy Program and has been registered since 2004. She finds that being a Reiki practitioner as well as an RMT brings a quiet energy to her treatments to help facilitate relaxation (for the client too!). She believes that people need to be more open to listening to their intuition not only in their daily life but also within their own body. The time during your treatment can be a great place to start!

Stephanie has taken extra training for Prenatal Massage but also feels that infants and children should be given the opportunity to benefit from massage as well as adults. As an Infant Massage Instructor, she is available to teach parents/caregivers the techniques and benefits of infant massage. Stephanie has also completed CranioSacral Therapy levels I & II, SomatoEmotional Release level I & II  and CranioSacral for Pediatrics, all through the Upledger Institute.

While Stephanie is still taking some massage clientele, her practice is shifting focus as she takes over the CranioSacral practice of Rosemary Brown-Tucker RMT.  CranioSacral Therapy can be used for a number of issues including: chronic pain, musculoskeletal imbalances, in dealing with stress and anxiety, pregnancy and post-pregnancy care, breastfeeding problems, and more!

With so many modalities still to be learned, she never ceases to be amazed at the many levels of healing that are possible.
